You have mold! What Happens Next?

In the photos above you can clearly see this beautiful waterfront condo in Dunedin, Florida, has a mold issue that began as a leak in the guest bathroom. Our team was dispatched out to address a water damage, and immediately found microbial growth behind the soaked vanity. Now what?

Safety always comes first! Our crew first applied proper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) then began the work. We started by hanging up containment to separate the uncontaminated area from our work zone and minimize the opportunities for spores to spread. From there we removed all affected material such as the vanity, tub, and anything that could intervene in the cleaning process. It’s important to note that while working with mold in any area we always have air scrubbers in place and negative pressure to ensure that we don’t contaminate anymore of the space. Dry wall was then removed, all studs and framing treated and wiped down, and the air scrubber was left overnight. With all of that said, this condo is ready to be put back together, "Like it never even happened."
